National Monuments Service Annual Archaeology Conference - 2027, European Year of the Normans

Since 2018, the National Monuments Service has held an annual autumn conference, now well established in Ireland’s heritage calendar. Its aim is to make heritage more accessible to a wide audience.

In 2027, the 9th annual National Monuments Service Conference, will focus on Irish Norman heritage. It will feature up to eight speakers, each presenting on topics related to the archaeology of this period.

The event will be held in Dublin Castle, and a detailed programme will be developed through the first quarter of 2027. The event, will also be streamed online, and all talks made available of National Monuments Service YouTube channel following the event.
