Views on the Norman Heritage

What if your gaze told the story of the Normans?
The Alliance Française de Jersey and the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche are launching a major participatory project for the creation and exhibition of photographs across several territories marked by the Norman epic: from Normandy to the United Kingdom, passing through the Channel Islands, Southern Italy, and Scandinavia.

Amateur or professional photographers are invited to capture the visible or symbolic traces of this unique heritage. Each image will be accompanied by a personal text, so that each photographer can share their perspective and narrate the connection between their subject and Norman history.

An exhibition will be created from a selection of around thirty photographs and will be visible, in 2027, in several partner cities across Europe.
