European Heritage Days

In September 2027, the European Heritage Days will take place in Alençon with a medieval theme. Throughout the weekend, numerous public and private sites and establishments in the area will offer a varied program, highlighting the richness of the local heritage. The cultural services and establishments of the City and the Urban Community of Alençon will fully engage in Millenium through a specific program resonating with medieval history. This significant event invites a rediscovery of the heritage of Alençon and its surroundings, marked by a strong medieval legacy, which is foundational to the history of Orne and, more broadly, the Norman narrative.
