From Norway to Normandy
25 June 2027
Harmonies of the European Choir
The Norwegian National Youth Choir was founded in 1987.
This choir project brings together 40 amateur singers, aged 16 to 26, from all regions of Norway. The repertoire is broad, ranging from Renaissance and Romantic music to contemporary music, along with national and international folk music. The choir has participated in several national and international choir festivals and competitions, and has also won several awards over the years.
Conducted since 2026 by Oddgeir Kjetilstad, a prestigious name in Norwegian choral life, the musical program will consist of religious and folk music from Norway and internationally.
The project of the National Youth Choir of Norway is supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and is administered by the Norwegian association of children and youth choirs, Ung i Kor.
The Moustier Choir, conducted by Michel Sauvage since its inception and composed of about fifty amateur singers, has been an integral part of the musical life of the town of Montivilliers for 40 years and will open the concert. Used to tackling all types of repertoire, it will focus on presenting to the audience works from our Norman repertoire, by both well-known and lesser-known composers.
