Musical exchange trip of the Coutances harmony orchestra to Sicily, in Troina.

A musical and historical journey! Based in Coutances, a town twinned with Hauteville-la-Guichard and Troina in Sicily, the Orchestra is organizing a meeting that naturally fits into a strong shared history. The idea of a musical journey to Sicily emerges as an echo of the epic tale of the sons of Tancred of Hauteville-la-Guichard, an emblematic historical figure whose legacy connects these territories. Regular exchanges with Sicilian partners, who have already been welcomed several times in Coutances, strengthen this dynamic. Developed in close connection with the twinning committee, the project brings together fifty musicians engaged in an artistic and human adventure in Troina. The objectives are multiple: to discover Sicily, explore the history of the Tancreds on site, share and give concerts, play and exchange with the Orchestra of Troina, and immerse in the culture and heritage of the region.
