The History of the Normans Told to Children: A European Perspective

The proposal put forward by the Munaé combines exhibition, mediation, and digital enhancement around the history of the Normans from a European perspective.

It showcases representations of this history through the collections of the National Museum of Education and those of partner institutions, particularly in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Denmark.

An outdoor exhibition, accessible to all, is set up near the exhibition center of the museum on Rue Eau-de-Robec.

The initiative is complemented by a mediation program based on the museum's collections: guided tours of the reserves, workshops for young audiences, and a cycle of conferences. Finally, the digitization of collections related to the theme allows their dissemination on the regional database of Norman museums as well as on the Joconde portal, enhancing the accessibility and sustainability of resources.
