Guillaume and the heirs of courage

Tribute to Guillaume and Mathilde

The harmony orchestras of the University (the COUR) and the Fraternelle of Caen are joining forces for an exceptional concert.

The orchestras and the hundred musicians who make them up will perform works retracing the journey of Guillaume the Conqueror and Mathilde of Flanders, as well as the great moments of Norman history. The Viking era and periods of contemporary history will be represented in music.

Thierry Deleruyelle, a contemporary French composer, has created an original piece for this occasion, which will be performed by Mike Cavanagh (UK), the soloist of the best brass band in the world.
