In the footsteps of William the Conqueror

from 29 May 2027

to 30 May 2027

A musical and historical journey through his life and works

The Résonance choir presents an original concert retracing the life and destiny of this major figure in Norman and European history.

Through a selection of contemporary songs placed alongside historical elements, this program invites the audience to rediscover the key stages of his journey: his childhood in Normandy, his rise to power, and his decisive role in history, particularly through the conquest of England.

The concert is based on both artistic and narrative approaches. The musical works, performed by the choir, are accompanied by a slideshow projected on a large screen, illustrating and enriching the content. This complementarity between music and images provides an accessible, lively, and immersive experience.

Designed to reach a wide audience, this project combines musical rigor with an educational dimension. It aims to make history resonate and feel current, creating bridges between the past and the present.

As part of the Millennium 2027 dynamic, this concert aims to enhance the value of Norman heritage and promote a shared memory through a unifying cultural moment.
