Between laughter and tournaments: games from the Middle Ages

Fun and participatory animations accompany the exhibition The Normans "through the threads" of time organized by the Europe Inter Exchanges association throughout the event.

A day is dedicated to a friendly tournament of wooden medieval games, organized indoors and outdoors, bringing together delegations from sister cities (Bedizzole in Italy, the Kreis of Uelzen in Germany, Luboń and Gostyń in Poland, Guibaré in Burkina Faso, as well as Granard in Ireland).

A monumental collective mural is created using small colored diamond shapes similar to Lego. Open to everyone, it is proposed and animated by the Briques en folie association.
A drawing competition related to the general theme is organized with primary school students from the area. Artisans specializing in wood, stone, and stained glass crafts are also present under outdoor tents for demonstrations and short animations.

The event involves the partner municipalities of the East Plateau of Rouen: Bonsecours, Le Mesnil-Esnard, Franqueville-Saint-Pierre, Ymare, Quévreville-la-Poterie, Gouy, Les Authieux-sur-le-Port-Saint-Ouen, La Neuville-Chant-d’Oisel, Mesnil-Raoul, Fresne-le-Plan, Montmain, Boos, and Belbeuf.
